Ft. Myers, FL

After a month at the not so friendly park Cypress Trails quickly restored our faith that RVing could be a solution for us.  We met more people in the first afternoon of our arrival than we did the entire month at that other place.  Additionally, I met Colleen who became a fast friend and exercise buddy. We enjoyed water aerobics, Zumba, pickle ball and more.

Arcadia, FL

Cross Creek RV Resort was our first month long stay in Florida.  It was nice and had a great pool.  The residents were polite and courteous.  The one thing we couldn't say after a month was that the residents were friendly.  People seemed to have their own cliques and we were bystanders they didn't quite want to include.  We were glad to move on.

Ringling Museum...

On our journey, we made a stop at the Ringling Estate and toured the art gallery and grounds.  The Ringling's definitely had amazing art and architectual preferences.  The property was stunning and all right along the shore of Sarasota Bay.

UhOh...

Unfortunately, shortly after our arrival our windshield cracked.  (I guess those stones we encountered on the highway did more damage than we first thought.)  The repair was done lickity split.

Escaping the Cold....

Despite being boatless, we certainly weren't going to spend the winter in the great white north!!!  Heaven forbid!  So we took the land based RV down to Florida for the winter.

Must have sun!

Nuku Hiva

In Nuku Hiva, we enjoyed a hot sunny day about town taking in the shops and the sights.  The big surprise was finding a Ford dealer on the island where the two cars they offered on the lot were both the new 2016 Ford Ranger not yet available in the US.  Dave preferred the red one,,.

This, unfortunately, was the last port of our grand South Pacific adventure so it will be onto new things.

Rangiroa

Our day in Rangiroa was proof that it is not always bright and sunny in the South Pacific.  It poured most of the day quickly making mud and muck of the street (Yes, there was just one around the atoll).  Just when we thought the day would be a total washout the sun came up and allowed just a few pictures of the island.

The last shot was taken on the property of a private resort just before we were all asked to leave the premise.  Not very friendly....and we would have been happy to have a drink or two at the bar if they'd allowed it.
